Carpe Diem

OUR TEENS
New Year New Goal

Our Teenager After-school Care was started in January 2018 to provide a safe place for teenagers to do their homework with the necessary support. We ended the year with 16 teenagers in the group.

This year, most of our 2018-group returned and we had 8 new children who joined our group, leaving us with 23 registered teenagers for 2019. We are very excited about this!

The children are motivated to set their academic goals for each term and we reward them with a cup cake for each goal reached at a special ceremony at the beginning of the next term.

The children are already working hard on school projects and setting new goals for the first term.

We provide them with lunch, a homely atmosphere, support with their homework and projects and a lot of motivation. They reward themselves with hard work by choosing to make use of opportunities provided.

We look forward to the year ahead, giving us new opportunities to make a difference in the lives of these teenagers. Thank you for your ongoing support to enable us to do so.
